With this recoding Guy wants to celebrate his personal victories but also assume the failures and miseries he and all of us suffer, showing the traces that have driven him to succeed and the scars of the fights life has brought him.

The cd becomes a good example his undeniable quality which has led him to be recognized with numerous awards along his long career. This is an album that comes full of good delightful feelings, ready to be calmly savoured many times with no hurry.

Thirteen songs, mostly original ones, as well as some versions all musicians weave with an effective cleverness. If you like traditional blues with actual arrangements and an amazing strength both in its conception and development, then this album will fulfil all your expectations.

This is an album with not a bad single note on it that will not disappoint tasteful listeners interested in good blues. After a lively evening on an amazing jam session at Dean Hermain’s Green Iguana, with high-level great musicians, singer and guitar player Charlie Morris thought those intense, unique, unrepeatable and full of magic moments that only appear from time to time on a jam session, had to be captured in an album.

Over the next years, when time and other circumstances let him, legendary Panda Studio became a kind of smoky club, with lots of food, drinks and specially, the most favourable atmosphere to play in a relaxing jam session.

As you may think, the album was recorded with no rehearsals or alternative takes, so the result was totally cool and satisfying, gathering the most burning and high quality music.

This is a magnificent album where the spontaneous essence of blues, rock and country is reflected in every single song. Bake It Black Like a speedy car, here comes the new piece of work by Nashville veteran singer and guitar player now living in Munich, Paul Dougherty.

Together with his acoustic band The Griffintown Jug Addicts, he and the group mastery perform with intensity and passion ragtime, roots blues, swing and they even dare to play spirituals.

This is a delicious album, with beautiful songs coming from Fred McDowell, Reverend Gary Davis or Blind Blake, all of them performed from the bottom of their hearts with honesty and a deep respect and knowledge of these particular styles.

Jason Ricci is well known among blues fans as a more than interesting and virtuoso singer and harmonica player belonging to the new actual school, where the overblowing technique is always present in their phrasing.

Now he brings us a very personal album, which mostly turns away from blues in formal definition, concept and metrics, although this style can always be found in his work. Along the eleven album songs you will discover the darker side of this provocative artist, which will enable you to see his undeniable quality but at the same time immerse you in his oniric and secret universe.

If all this were not enough, the song lyrics are extremely crude and explicit, where Jason distils poison enough to pervert listeners, which contribute to complete a terrific, extremely hard and disturbing album.

Since the band foundation in Wisconsin by Nosak and singer Oscar Wilson, they have gained an undeniable prestige that now reaches its peak with this impressive album for Alligator. The list of musicians involved in the album is really impressive, all experienced masters of the genre, like Oscar Wilson on vocals, Joe Nosek on harmonica and vocals, Billy Flynn and Joel Paterson on guitars, Kenny Smith and Mark Haines as drummers and Brad View on bass and double bass.

The album is a tribute to lovely piano player and band member Barrelhouse Chuck, who sadly passed away some time ago. In fact, Hannes had discovered him on youtube, and he was impressed by his voice and the way he played guitar.

Born in , Little Willie Farmer is a true representative of those bluesmen who can still be discovered in Mississippi small villages, together with other musicians like Johnnie Billington, Jimmy ‘Duck’ Holmes, McKinney Williams, Arion Babybell or Sam Scott among others who, after daily hard work, spend their spare time playing blues or simply teaching Delta blues secrets to community young black people.

For a long time her many followers claimed she should publish an album and now Willa has fulfilled her fans expectations with a project that has ended with her first album, where she has counted with the collaboration of a bunch of musicians who have put their tasteful knowledge to the service of this amazing singer.

Este es uno de esos discos que durante mucho tiempo dejan en el oyente un grato sabor de boca. Joseph Veloz is a versatile and eclectic bass player who feels comfortable in a wide range of musical genres like Chicago blues, swing, reggae, groove, jazz rock, funk or rhythm and blues.

And if this was not enough, it is important to highlight he has been gifted with a valuable and high creative potential as well as an incredible stage presence.

All these qualities can be found in this album, where Joseph has also written most of the arrangements and he is responsible of final production too. As Joseph Veloz is not a singer, he has invited some first class voices which give strength and enhance some of the album songs.

Although the album only includes eight tracks, there are enough to let us give very positive words of a musician who knows what he wants and how to get it, who is also surrounded by a handful of musicians with a more than interesting quality.

In short words, this is one of those albums which will satisfy and please most listeners for quite a long time. El cantante y guitarrista Jeff Dale y el armonicista Jeff Stone nacieron y se criaron en el southside de Chicago.

Singer and guitar player Jeff Dale and harmonica player Jeff Stone were born and grew up in Chicago southside. They were friends since childhood, exactly since they were seven years old. Hutto or Koko Taylor, so you can easily imagine the musical background they could enjoy in their young years.

In the album you will find Jeff Dale on guitar, cigar box and vocals while Jeff Stone blows harmonica. Together they develop an acoustic, intimistic album, performed with an incredible complicity that drives them and all listeners to those years where both teens sat together to watch, enjoy, listen and learn from the historical bluesmen who lived there.

Fantastic gritty and raw sound is what the musicians of this new band named King Bee communicate, to make their blues something very personal and dynamic, fiercely performing the most straightforward rock and funk you can now find in southern Alabama.

The band has strongly appeared in blues scene, after reaching the final at International Blues Challenge. In this first album with an appropriate and expressive title, they have included six well balanced attractive own songs and four well chosen covers, songs that drive us to the most varied stylistic deep south landscapes, from a southern Baptist church to those songs you could listen to in a Georgia old back porch, or songs that could be played at a wooden juke joint, but all them with power enough to make us dance at a Saturday night party… All that and many more things is what you will find and enjoy in the music performed by all band musicians who look like as if they have got experience by playing music and drinking beer and bourbon.

In the album you will also findf a couple of guests and a powerful horn section. It is accepted and well known blues is now in good health all over Europe, which is proved by the increasingly growing of good blues bands in every European country.

Led by guitar player, singer and songwriter Theo Alexiou, thy have now become one benchmark group in their country. They have also toured with a good acceptance along New Jersey, New York and Florida with the clever advice of one of their mentors, veteran Tommy McCoy.

Hard, hypnotic, straightforward blues can be found in this album, which covers different visions and colours of Chicago and southern blues. Eleven band original songs written in collaboration with Tommy McCoy during the summer of year round up the recording.

With this album, the group wants to open international doors and show the blues language is in good form in Greece and has anything to envy to the blues played in other countries. In spite they perform a very actual blues repertoire, they do not leave aside the original Delta sound.

This is their seventh album which clearly shows the band full maturity, both in compositions and songs arrangements. Influenciado por gente como B. He soon discovered his musical skills listening to the most varied rock, blues and big bands.

Soon he was able to make a good use of his music qualities, so he decided to devote himself to blues music as it was the style he most loved, but it was not until year when he took the music seriously and he settled in Paris to begin his music studies at the American School of Modern Music.

There he met other musicians who shared his love for blues and jazz, and he formed his own band called Cartel as a tribute to his Colombian origins. From then on Colling has not stopped to musically grown and has now become a requested musician at European blues scene.

Influenced by people like B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Larry Carlton and Robben Ford, Kid Colling represented Luxembourg at the European Blues Challenge held in Horsens, Denmark in , where he captivated the audience with his eclectic daring proposal where pop, rock and blues formed a strong high quality musical collage, that can now be perfectly appreciated in this album.

T-Roosters es una banda muy activa en la escena del blues italiano. T-Roosters is a very active band in Italian blues scene. Their most relevant goal they have on mind is to reach a perfect symbiosis between music and lyrics, as the rest seems to be secondary details to them.

All songs tell us daily life stories, while their music, with the blues as main reference, communicates a deep emotion, suggesting various and colourful landscapes, thanks to the perfect collaboration between Tiziano ‘Rooster’ Galli and Paolo Cagnoni as composers of all cd songs.

Their music respects the Afroamerican tradition, they know how to capture it and give back to the listener with a well done and calculated dramatic display. The album becomes a research of blues and soul roots, linking the past to the future, without forgetting the present of their music.

Gabriel se entrega de forma honesta e intuitiva a su labor ya que Gabriel es un hombre que tiene muy claro cual es su meta en la vida. Gabriel Delta is an Argentinian singer and guitar player settled in Italy.

One of his most outstanding virtues is his ability to put all his passion in everything he does, as well as his personal commitment in social activities especially devoted to poorest and disadvantaged people. And this is exactly what he tries to reflect in the nine songs that have been selected for this recording.

Gabriel Delta is a simple traveller who goes all over the world looking for links among different cultures, colours and sounds that, from Mississippi go to Africa and South America and finally arrive to Europe.

Gabriel delivers to this work on an honest intuitive way, as he is a man who really knows his life goal. In the album you will find Gabriel Delta on guitar and vocals, Gianni Gotta on guitar too, Daniele Mignone on bass and Carlo Bellotti on drums and percussion.

Jerome Godboo is well known for his amazing work as singer, harmonica and accordion player and leader of the band The Phantoms, which made him to be awarded as ‘Best Harmonica Player of Year ‘ by The Blues Foundation.

Besides his excellent work with The Phantoms, Jerome is a restless man, so he has formed a supergroup he has named Godboogie. The band members are all very good friends who share their musical tastes.

All of them have greatly enjoyed playing a repertoire with the kind of blues they most like on a well selected bunch of own songs. The energy, perfect communication and good taste to play greasy rockin’ blues can be immediately realized, heard and enjoyed in each and every one of the songs included in this remarkable album.

Lighthouse Sweden is a band influenced by musicians like Mark Knopfler or J. With these two musical references which become the strong basis of the music they play and the huge respect and admiration for roots and Americana music, the band becomes the best friend to share a long journey along those endless lonely roads and highways that go through deserts, hills or dusty lonely villages at twilight or dark nights.

Lighthouse Sweden know very well how to captivate listeners, as their music sounds attractive and full of magnetism, with a faultless performing of the just mentioned two musical genres, not exempt of a certain melancholy, which will make them call the attention of Americana music lovers as well as exceed the possibilities of other similar groups.

Desde el Reino Unido nos llega el nuevo trabajo del cantante y guitarrista de blues Mick Clarke. From United Kingdom comes the new piece of work of blues singer and guitar player Mick Clarke. From the opening song “Dry Road Blues” Mick shows his good taste and elegance in each one of the album tracks, which include ten own ones and three covers.

His rock-blues style with that British way to perform, does not interfere to immediately realize his good taste and admiration for American guitar players like Freddie King, John Lee Hooker or Howlin’ Wolf. The repertoire he has chosen for this last album entitled “Diggin’ Down” is highly recommendable for the body and mind of every listener who will be gradually caught inside the musical network Mick skilfully weaves to capture your attention.

Two of the most legendary, classic and orthodox names of actual Chicago blues scene, like singer and guitar player John Primer and harmonica player Bob Corritore, have joined forces to do an album of pure, powerful and really explosive Chicago south side blues.

They have counted with the valuable collaboration of exceptional musicians and good friends like piano players Henry Gray and the late and always missed Barrelhouse Chuck, guitar players Big Jon Atkinson and Chris James, bass players Troy Sandow and Patrick Rynn and finally drummer Brian Fahey.

With this incredible first class line up and real masters of the style, the result could not be other than a bright, intense album, full of delightful surprises. With a temperate, convincing, fat and strong sound that will captivate listeners from the first notes of “Poor Man Blues” that opens this great liturgical blues ceremony, till “When I Leave Home” that closes the cd, all the recording becomes a delicious walk all musicians involved enjoy and play with an amazing skill, elegance and good taste.

Along the whole recording you will find incredible shuffles, low down dirty blues and Chicago grooves performed with a tremendous charming, magic and tons of swing. En junio del fueron contratados por separado para formar parte del tributo a una leyenda del blues como es Otis Rush dentro del marco del festival de blues de la ciudad de Chicago.

Once again the excellent Delta Groove record company has published one of those gems which will totally satisfy all real blues fans. This time you will find the fantastic guitar player Monster Mike Welch together with the bright and expressive singer Mike Ledbetter.

Both artists are reputed blues musicians, so undoubtedly this album will be very much welcomed. In June they were separately booked to play at a tribute to legendary bluesman Otis Rush during the Chicago Blues Festival.

The chemistry between them was immediate and the understanding on stage was amazing, so they decided to record an album that reflected the communication and good vibrations felt by these two intense and valuable performers of the most genuine blues.

The result is superb album with a masterful lesson of how real blues has to be played by two amazing masters of the genre. His lyrics give a humorous approach to daily life, developing topics related to social violence that comes from the use of firearms, drugs abuse, sexuality, and the special uninhibition dancing gives to people, that helps to forget bad situations and problems.

All what I have mentioned can be found along the eleven songs that round up this album John has recorded together with the usual band which backs him in his recent tours in Europe and the USA, The Blue Dreamers, with Johnny Rhoades on guitar, Matthew Wilson on bass and guitar and Danny Banks on drums.

In the album there have also collaborated Marc Franklin on trumpet and flugerhorn. Art Edmaiston on tenor and baritone sax and Charles Hodges on organ. In short words this is an album that truly reflects the evolution of a musician who knows very well what to say and how to say it, as he has done in all moments and situations of his really interesting musical career.

Davis Coen is a musician deeply rooted in blues, country, folk and religious music tradition. Along his career he has published ten albums where all these styles can be found in more or less extent.

This new and juicy recording he now brings us to delight our senses is completely focused on religious music, with a musical background fully imbued of spirituals, covering a wide range of some classic topics of that genre Davis cleverly drives to his particular field and way to conceive music.

In the album Coen has also included six own compositions that, without losing its religious essence, move to a more country-folk conception, which makes them become personal and unique. With all this huge experience, it was not surprising Bobby decided to start his own music career that has proved to be so far extremely fruitful for his personal expectations.

Bobby Messano has recorded seven albums till now, which have helped him to be considered among contemporary blues rock fans as a singer and guitar player with en extreme power of seduction.

In this new album Bobby shows all the professional experience he has gathered over the years, along a very good selection of excellent and varied songs where he skilfully combines with great taste low down dirty blues with Americana and roots-rock, adding a touch of country, reggae, funk and soul.

In all these styles Bobby feels comfortable, communicating all his musical knowledge as, not in vain, he has already become one of the most outstanding figures in the music field we are talking about.

Una banda que con un poco de suerte y perseverancia, pueden dar en el futuro muchos y muy buenos frutos. Since year this group with the curious name of Vintage 18 has become a more than worth mentioning dynamic band, that builds up blues and soul with an indie original sound, which has made them reach a wide popularity in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.

In year they played at the International Blues Challenge organized by The Blues Foundation in Memphis at Blind Raccoon showcase, a firm specialized in launching and promoting blues musicians and bands, which opened them different doors in United States.

After playing at the IBC, Vintage 18 has recorded this album with eleven eclectic songs full of dynamism and personality. Nine songs come from the four band musicians, they have done as well as the whole album production.

This is a quartet where you will find the amazing deep voice of Robbin Kapsalis in vocals, Bill Holter on guitars, Mark Chandler on bass, keyboards and slide guitar and Alex Kuldell on drums and percussion. If this band has good luck and they work with determination, they will certainly have a good future ahead.

The life of singer and bass player Polly O’Keary is extremely curious. Polly was born in a log cabin with no electricity and plumbing. When she was only fifteen years old, you could find her singing in bars and joints in Mexico and border area.

At nineteen she already had a husband in jail and her studies had only come up to eighth grade. Despite what it may seem at first sight, Polly was clever enough to manage her life and now, twenty years later, it is a pleasure to find her touring in the five continents with first class renowned musicians and studying for a Ph.

This is her fourth album so far, she has recorded with the electrifying legendary California guitar player David Miller and the overwhelming work on drums by Tommy Cook.

Polly has also counted with the valuable collaboration of a good bunch of guest musicians who enhance a well displayed recording with a large dose of colourful sounds. Eleven songs where Polly O’Keary reveals herself as a wild singer with an indomitable personality full of an expressive force, as well as a more than convincing bass player.

Low Society es una banda que trabaja tanto en Europa como en los Estados Unidos, empleando la mitad de su tiempo en cada continente. Low Society is a band which works both in Europe and in USA, spending half of the time in each continent.

This is his third studio album and has been recorded in Belgium and Memphis. The band has put together ten songs on a clever tasteful way to complete a personal quite attractive recording where a variety of styles come together, all based on indie, rockabilly, blues, pop, garage rock or post beat music, cooked with mystery and magnetic ingredients and flavours.

Mandy Lemons and guitar player and producer Nikides Sturges are responsible of all compositions. They have done a good work without getting out of the musical concepts they feel comfortable with.

Powerful, alternative, wild, dark… these are some of the adjectives that could better define Low Society music. Danny del Toro is a restless harmonica player who comes from Madrid.

His concern has led him to investigate in styles like blues, ragtime, swing or jazz, as well as to travel to United States, United Kingdom or Sweden, where he has played or worked with a good number of bands and blues artists.

The result of meeting such different musicians gave him the idea for this new album. To do so, Danny chose one song he used to play with some of the many musicians and friends he has toured with or who had backed him in his countless gigs and now, after three years of compiling songs, he has published them in this new album.

With the new work TG Swampbustes and their leader Tim Gibbons have just published, they continue the way they have started with their previous album entitled “Swamp Tooth Comb”, where they give free rein to their particular way of performing swamp pop and other stylistic musical forms.

In this way “Honky Tonk Song” becomes an ode to the life of a musician on the road, “Five Minutes Past Midnight” describes everything is good if blues is at your side and “She Always Ate Her Crackers In Bed”, “Whiskey Woman” or “Twist My Rubber Arm” clearly show the complexity of relationships, topics that analyzed from a cold point of view, become raw and juicy, making listeners discover some hidden aspects they probably have not think about so far.

This is a sincere honest recording that, as Hamilton Spectator says, would delight the very same Keith Richards. With this mini album with only six songs in it, Janiva Magness wants to show her relationship with blues and other black music styles that have deeply influenced her along her life.

To do so she has selected a few tunes that, according to her own words, are some of her favourites and give her life and joy every time she listens to them. The same experiences she feels are what she wants to communicate to all her listeners and fans with this mini cd.

The songs belong and became popular by artists like Bo Diddley, Freddie King, Etta James or Nina Simone and, as it could not be otherwise, Miss Magness gives the best of herself on a repertoire she approaches engaging herself in body and soul, backed by great musicians such as Zach Zunis and Garret Deloian on guitars, Arlan Schierbaum to Hammond, Gary ‘Scruff’ Davenport on bass and Matt Teeu on drums, plus the valuable collaboration of Kid Ramos guitar, Sugaray Rayford vocals and T.

Norton harmonica, each one in one song.

Marc loves the music he plays so it is always a pleasure to enjoy his live shows and see how he moves his hands over the piano keyboard with such a graceful rhythm that will make you feel the way each note hits listeners bodies who are totally impacted by the fragrance of his harmonies.

Marc Ferrer slides his fingertips along the keys with the delicacy of a mannered haute couture fashion designer but, in this case, without losing his manhood. The passion he approaches and attacks songs make us immediately realize the vibrant feeling he gives to every performance.

Marc feels comfortable with a repertoire he plays with an amazing grace but, at the same time, with a powerful strength, a lot of punch and a good dose of credibility. After the amazing success of his last tour that led him to play along the five continents and his participation on the Legendary Blues Cruise, singer, songwriter and guitar player Nick Schnebelen has managed to get his name is in the mouth of all those good followers of the musical genre we are talking about.

As a result of his success he decided to publish this album recorded live during a show in Kansas City, backed by his usual rhythm section. Ten songs where Nick communicates all his energy and vocal qualities, as well as his good knowledge of the most actual and effective blues rock, without forgetting his influences of bluesmen like Freddie King or Buddy Guy he deeply admires and respects.

According to his own words Nick feels proud of this new recording because it gives the opportunity to all his fans and followers to take and have at home a piece of his live shows, in this case a summary of that gig in Kansas City.

Brad Stivers is a young singer, songwriter and guitar player coming from Austin, Texas who has quickly made his way in local blues circles, keeping alive the flame of Texas blues, gospel and soul tradition.

Brad is in his twenties, so he belongs to the new generation of musicians who in this century will give shape and define these musical styles so characteristic in Texas. After a successful tour around some European countries, Brad Stivers has become well known outside his local fans, bringing all the atmosphere of blues and Texas music to a wide world of followers and lovers of that music.

For recording this album Brad has counted with the valuable collaboration of a bunch of able and very professional musicians like bass players and upright bass player Odis Hill, Bobby Perkins and Eric Przygock and drummer Nico Leophonte, besides singers Malford Milligan and Emily Gimble, who also plays piano, Bukka Allen on Hammond B-3 and Mark Wilson on sax, these last ones in a song.

The life of Gary Cain only had one sense… to play, play and play. He daily spent eight hours practising with his guitar and when he was on holidays, he spent thirteen hours a day. He almost performed a live show every night, but one night while he was playing in Dubai he had a serious vocal disease that deeply affected him.

For quite a long time he left music, which helped him to reconsider his life and career. It was in that way that he felt physically and mentally rejuvenated and changed his attitude and the way to focus his career.

Today we can say he has come back to music activity with renewed energies and a fine mental strength. His musical approach is now completely different from his previous one, he is not longer interested in playing only for the fact of playing, now he wants to express everything he feels and communicate all the music he is able to do.

The new direction he has chosen to deal with his life, his music and his hidden ghosts has driven him to get a particular style, that becomes a mixture of all the music that has deeply attracted and inspired him.

All these new aspects can be found along the ten songs included in his first album, where he is backed by Tom Nagy on bass and Donnie McDougall on drums. Jim Roberts And The Resonants come back to the front line with an amazing strength, high creativity and inspiration.

Formerly known as The Jack Roberts Harvey Band and led by Jim Roberts, besides the change of name, they now give us a good dose of southern rock with influences of roots music, American with intense strong drops of blues.

Then he worked for sixteen years as a police officer. Although life led him to different ways he never stopped to think about music, something that he always had on mind. In Jim left the police service to come back with more strength than ever in what had been his only vocation and passion: The album gathers ten songs that clearly show the quality of an artist who has happily been gained again for music.

With an impressive discography of forty-four records until , for this album Amouroux has collected a series of improvisations recorded in of boogie-woogie piano except one song he plays with celesta, another with harpsichord and another one with organ.

It is always a risk to produce an album with an hour of piano solo with no backing instruments, especially if you play boogie-woogie, an style where mediocrity becomes immediately evident and demands to be performed with a good dose of swing to avoid to fall into monotony, but Jean Paul succeeds in this challenge, playing all songs with an amazing strength and an unlimited sensitivity, which gives a lot of swing, an unbelievable groove and an extraordinary rhythm.

Here comes the seventh album by singer Gina Sicilia that definitely confirms her as one of the most interesting voices of actual blues-rock. The common thread of this recording is the complexity of life and especially for her as, according to her own words, she has suffered a lot for the last three years due to a painful traumatic experience, which made her to reconsider her life and feel she had to start again.

So she moved to Nashville, a place where no one knew her personally, to begin a new period as singer and songwriter.
