At one time, this was a great program. Perhaps, I’m missing something. The last time it was free– period. No trial, no Facebook membership, just download the program and run it. Today ,I can’t get it to run.
The beginning page seems to be purposely confusing. CNET used to be better about screening. Caught several viruses missed by both Kaspersky and MalwareBytes. I search out any good stand-alone anti-malware software since it doesn’t cause conflicts, doesn’t slow your system, and makes a great back-up.
The full scan takes awhile, but it’s very thorough so I don’t get my knickers in a kink, especially since it’s free! I now run Kaspersky, then Malwarebytes, then Dr. Web’s Cure-It and feel very protected.
For those that whine about being directed to their website, having to give their name and email address, it’s a small price for software that does a thorough and excellent job.
